Andy Warhol’s World

The Kunsthal Rotterdam shows famous and (yet) unknown photos of the world around the legend Warhol and the era he lived in. Photos of Andy Warhol and the photographers around him, f.e. David McCabe, Billy Name, Robert Mapplethorpe and Thomas Hoepker give a characteristic image of the New York underground scene surrounding The Factory in the sixties. The photo's come from the private collection ‘From Cobra to Contemporary' of Hugo and Carla Brown. The collection consists of almost a thousand works, from paintings of the CoBrA movement to more recent work of famous artists and new talent.

Object/Art Rotterdam

41st International Film Festival Rotterdam

The 41st edition will take place from January 25 to February 5, 2012. 

 

The International Film Festival Rotterdam presents a quality selection of independent, innovative and experimental cinema, video and media art. 

 

One of the largest public film events in the world, IFFR actively supports independent filmmaking from around the globe and is a recognized platform in Europe for launching new films and talent from Asia, Africa, Middle and Eastern Europe and Latin America. 

 

CineMart, the first and largest co-production market for small and medium scale film projects, takes place within the festival. The festival's Hubert Bals Fund contributes financially to film projects from developing countries.

 

IFFR: an inspiring, creative and efficient meeting place for filmmakers, audience, programmers, producers, sales agents, distributors, journalists and other media professionals.
